My sister gave me her 1993 Grand Cherokee
4.0L after she bought a silverado. This
was my first vehicle and drove it for a
year. I was in the process of lifting it
to 4.5" with 33" tires when I
decided I wasn't getting enough power
outta the little guy. So, checked
craigslist one day and came across this
1998 5.9L Grand Cherokee in Deep Slate
(the color I have always wanted). I
contacted the seller immediatly because
5.9's are hard to come arcoss around here.
The next day I drove about an hour to go
take a look at her and fell in love
immediatly. It was completely stock when I
got her, and she now sits at 4.5" of
lift with 33" tires. I plan on
lifting her to 6 inches with long arms and
35" tires.

| sadass 12/31/2008 12:19 AM I like your 5.9. as I have stated
before. I have a suggestion for
your next mod. I don't see that
you have done it YET. It is the
242 swap, or 231. It is cheep
easy, and it Will perform better
off road because both are true
locking transfer cases. I know
you are going to even bigger
tires, 35s. You must be having
problems with tearing up front cv
axle half shafts stuck in 4x4 with
the 249 all the time. the swap
will take care of that problem
too. Just a suggestion, keep up
the good work. |

it that this is not your DD? |

|
| | KJcrazy123 12/06/2008 8:35 PM Hell, the only other car that i
own is a Sebring, and only because
my parents gave it to me when they
bought a new one. It is not fun to
drive, but with 115,00 miles on
it, i can't complain. The Jeep on
the other hand, only has around
20,000. Runs AMAZINGLY.
*drools*
There is so much that i want to do
with it. What type of lift do you
have, and how many "? |
|
| | KJcrazy123 12/06/2008 5:54 PM No kidding? Wow, no SUV is worth
that much. Besides, the new KKs
are much better than a Sequoia
anyday. My sister-in-Law is in the
same boat. She is paying $700+ for
a Land Rover LR3. Granted, it is
fully loaded, and the only thing
it DOESN'T have in it is running
water, but come on, now. $700?
Haha, I am so glad that i own a
jeep, with my 200 a month
payments! Haha! |
|
| | KJcrazy123 12/06/2008 4:37 PM Cool. Well, good luck with
convincing your parents! It would
be a great investment! Haha! |
|
| | KJcrazy123 12/06/2008 4:10 PM Haha, yeah, KJ's are pretty cool!
Mine is bone stock... For now. I
plan on getting a lift, and maybe
some 30's for the tires. Other
accessories are bound to find a
way on there too! Haha. What year
is your (XJ?) Grand Cherokee? |
|
| | KJcrazy123 12/06/2008 1:53 PM Thanks for the add! Nice jeep! |
