I started out with a 1989 YJ that was
stock. Motor was blown up. i put a new
4.2L in it, 4" lift with 31X11.50
tires, new seats, fender flares and minor
appearance things. I sold the jeep to my
dad and stared looking for something to
make bigger and with more power. i found
the jeep i have now in WV. the guy had a
350 he had built for a car but ended up
selling the car. he had his jeep and
decided he wanted to lift it and put the
350 in it. He put Dana 44's front and rear
out of a mid 70's full size Cherokee, with
military wrap springs. Custom plates were
made for the spring over axle conversion.
He had the motor mount conversion and
adapter plates for the trans but nothing
was in the vehicle. When i bought it the
was no motor, or trans. I got aome help to
have the morot mounts welded in and set in
just right. I put all new autometer
phantom guages in including the bezels all
from quadratec. it has the electronic
programmable speedometer so it reads right
on. I also installed Corbeau Baja SS
suspension seats from quadratec. i removed
all the carpet and put a rubberized
coating on the floor so if any water got
inside it wouldn't rust out. The 350 is a
4-bolt main block thats been bored 40
over, decked and blueprinted. Has a pretty
large cam, i dont know the specs but
sounds bad *** at an idle. it has a holley
carb with an edlebrock performer intake
manifold. Also, it has corvette double
hump heads, shorty headers, mallory
distributor. i put a brand new northern
radiator from quadratec that is a direct
fit application. It has the headlight
conversion to an H4 bulb also from
quadratec.
