JEEP HISTORY
Got into Jeeps in 1991 when I realized
dirt bikes were destroying my knees.
Bought a POS and did a frame up low budget
build. It was fun as a stock CJ3-A but you
know how the story goes. First engine
transplant was the Buick 225 V6. Best
engine jeep ever offerd for off road. What
a tractor! FI would have been next but the
engine went south suddenly. The 4.3 Chevy
TBI was free, so how could I not try it.
The SM420 and Detroits allow for great
crawling. The suspension sucks and I would
like to go coils on the front but I am not
a welder. Favorite place to wheel is Moab
and the Rubicon.
