Surprisingly I got into Jeep because it
was the right price. For my first car I
located a rusty 1987 Cherokee and talked
the owner down to $600 as a purchase
price. I put a lot of time into fixing the
floor boards and rocker panels where the
worst rust was. Gutted the interior and
put in nicer carpet out of another
cherokee over top of the existing rubber
mats... It got 20-25 MPG. I loved that
thing. Naturally when it went south on me,
I looked for and found another Jeep. Found
a 1995 4.0L HO and I love it. Since then
my older brother bought a Jeep, my younger
brother has a Jeep, and my dad borrows
them whenever he can/needs to. The saga
continues...
