I had it for about 2 years. I bought her and she was a basket case mechanically. The body had very little rust, but the suspension, electrical, fuel and ignition system all were in various stages of disrepair.

After fixing it up so that I could drive it, and replacing the suspension, Carb, Ignition (HEI), Redoing the painless wiring and minor body work. Then it came down to what I needed to do next to ensure it would not only be a good driver, but a great hunting vehicle. I was looking at needing to replace both axles and that was about $2500 a pop.

I then found a good deal on my current Rubicon and decided to trade my 2000 SS convertible Camaro and my 82 CJ for the Rubi.

I miss the CJ, but I do get to see it around town now and then. The good news is I still get a CJ fix now and then by seeing nice rigs like yours...so thank you for sharing! YOu need to post some more photos!

Thanks again!
Mike
