I've been into Jeeps since I was 17. Have
owned 55 Willy's 6-226 wagon, 64 CJ-6, 76
CJ-5, and now an 80 CJ-5 of which I am the
original owner having purchased it brand
new in 1980.
I wish I never sold the
CJ-6 as I did a nice build up on it.
Chevy 283 V-8 with holley 4 barrel and
Advance Adapters headers, Saginaw 4 spd
tranny, Warn overdrive, 4.27 gears, Spicer
Powerlok in rear 44 axle, 11" brakes,
Whitco top. I made my own lift using
spring leaves from other vehicles. I owned
it from 71 to 77.
