I am completely new to off roading and
Jeeps. Last month I bought an 81 Cj7 from
my neighbor that had been recently burned
due to a battery recharge short. It
burned the dash out with little damage to
the engine bay. While searching on
Craiglist for parts I found a guy looking
to trade his 94yj for an older mustang. I
had what he wanted and we traded. Bang two
jeeps in less than a month. The kid who
owned the Yj bought it as a salvage,
repaired the right rear corner and
proceeded to do all the things that most
would consider wrong for off road use!!
2-1/2" lift 2" taller shackles,
3" body lift, no SYE and lowered the
Xfer case by 1" and so on. Since I
have had it I removed the 3" body
lift and bought a SYE. I am waiting for
cash to complete the SYE installe ( need
Drive Line ) I have wanted to own a jeep
for many years. I have been building
cars/hotrods since my teens. I wanted a
new challenge!!! I think I have found
it!! For the record I am a complete squid
when it comes to 4x4 driving and off
roading, but I am learning!!
