I first got into Jeeps when my mother
bought her 1999 Grand Cherokee. I
purchased a totaled 1999 Cherokee with
58000 miles in 2007 and rebuilt it with
the help of my dad and mom. I am still
driving this Jeep and it has 96000 miles
on it. It is my daily driver and gets a
lot of highway miles, but still gets to
play in the dirt on weekends. It is mostly
stock, save for a Flowmaster 40 Series
muffler and a high flow air filter in the
stock air box. I have done some cosmetic
upgrades, such as composite headlights and
xenon foglights. I do plan on doing a
budget boost and Detroit TrueTrac or ARB
Air Locker in the rear axle. I also am
going to purchase a larger, slightly more
agressive tire for my next set. A set of
rocker guards, skid plates, and a Detours
Light Bar are also on the list of mods to
be done. A header, non-crimped down pipe,
a highflow cat, and a BBK Throttle Body
will be installed to increase the
performance side of things.
