Parents got this 96' ZJ in trade for a
Winnebago motorhome and gave it to me.
They were told the Differentials, transfer
case, rear axle, and motor had been
rebuilt but soon found out it was not the
case. Rear axle and transfer case were
replaced with junkyard goods and never
serviced or checked. Tranny, diff, and
motor were never rebuilt, not even
serviced. My parents drove it to Portland
from CA, and we ended up dropping over $2k
into new rear axles and bearings, new (L)
front axle, transmission service, new
transmission cooler lines, e-brake pads,
and tranfer case service, which was a
waste as the VC was on it's way out.
