JEEP HISTORY
My first Jeep was a CJ5 new in 1981, the
color was Red with 4 Cyl engine and a
straight shift trans. The transmission
started to go away with bad second gear
and I traded for a car to commute to
work. I owned a Green 1977 FJ40
Landcruiser purchsed new for $6500, it was
the toughest built vehicle I ever owned.
Later, I owned a 1994 Suzuki Samurai
purchased new for $10,000 including
factory Air Conditioner. My wife drove the
Suzuki for several years doing field
nursing then my daughter drove it thru her
high school years. Dec 22, 2008 - My new
purchase is a 1991 YJ Wrangler purchased
for $4000. The YJ is Black with Chrome
wheels and no dents or rust in the body,
but the AX15 Transimission does grind in
Second and Third when shifting up or down.
