JEEP HISTORY
I got my 1997 Jeep Cherokee Country in
September 2002 when I was 16 and a
sophmore in highschool. Since then I have
done every modification to my since I got
it with the exception of the first 3"
BDS lift kit that my parents had put on it
for my 17th birthday, the window tint, and
the alarm. I had another 1997 Jeep
Cherokee Sport before my current XJ. I got
the Sport XJ th July 2002 and had it for
about a month until I got hit on the
driver's side by an F-150 that ran a red
light when I was was turning left out of
my neighborhood. The only thing that I had
got a chance to do to it was put in a CD
player and some subs. Lucky all that
survived except for the amp which got
trashed. I also had a 1988 Jeep
Comanche that my Dad gave to me for my
19th birthday. He knew I had always loved
those trucks and that I loved the one that
my Grandad had. So he tracked that truck
down bought it and surprised me with it.
It needed a good bit of work but it ran
and drove fine. I just had to fix a few
wiring gremlins. I put a 3" BDS lift
on it with some black Rock Crawler rims
and some 31" BFG All-Terrains. I
loved that truck because it was my
Grandad's old truck and becasue it was fun
to drive. It had the 4.0L I6 and the 5-spd
oh and it was 4x4. I learned to drive a
stick in that truck and I loved it. I
drove it when the XJ had to go into the
shop to be repaired when I couldn't do the
repair. I have to say even though I love
driving a stick, it sucks driving a stick
in Atlanta traffic. I hated having to sell
it but my Dad said it had to go because we
had my jeep, my Mom's new 05 Jag, her old
98 jag, my Brother's new 03 Dodge Ram 1500
Hemi Off-Road, my Dad's 03 Acura MDX, and
my old 88 Comanche. So he said the 98 Jag
and my Comanche had to go because we had
too many cars. So we sold the truck and
after over a year finally sold the Jag. I
really miss my old truck and I hope I can
find it and buy it back one day or find
another one a lot like it.
