I started with a 1985 CJ7. I added about
4" of lift, 32" tires, 258/4.0
head, MOPAR FI, AX15 swap, Tera-Low D300,
Detroit TruTracs, 4.10 gears.... I did
all the work myself, I had it just about
the way I wanted it, and like an idiot I
sold it. I've kicked myself ever
Then I started over with a
bone-stock '97 XJ SE. The drivetrain was
pretty solid, so I didn't need to do much
there. The only real mods were a 3"
lift, 31" tires, heavy duty steering,
front and rear receiver hitches, custom
roof rack, and rear tire carrier. It was
a really nice XJ, and I miss it... but not
as much as I miss the CJ7!
Now I'm at
square one again, with an '82 Scrambler...
I hope this one is my "forever"
