JEEP HISTORY
Second vehicle, first one I was legally
able to drive. Was hit by a mail car at a
stop sign which made the front end
crooked, only the body not the frame. Has
been my daily driver and weekend wrecker.

Today I had the great fortune to discover the greatest jeeper pastime. Better than mudding, crawling, and all around goofing off. It all started when my friend a fellow jeeper called me up and "convinced" me to go snow driving with him and another friend who drives a subaru outback. It all started off innocent enough; blasting through snow berms and plowing through foot deep snow on normally wimpy trails. Then I noticed my gas gauge had reach the point where it doesn't work anymore. Being roughly five miles away from the nearest pay at the pump (Its about 11pm) gas station I decide its time to fill up. With our little three vehicle group all filled up and ready to go we try to decide where to go make trouble next. This is when we are hit with a stroke of genius. Its twelve at night there are no cars around and an empty 2 acre parking lot for the grocery store across the road. Let the mayhem begin. I never knew driving on pavement could be so fun until now. Each of us had our own section of playground and began weaving our own little paths around planters and light poles. Sliding this way and that like the rice rockets in tokyo drift. Then to our utter dismay we notice another set of headlights pulling into the lot. Recognizing the black and white suv of the local sheriffs. Panicking all three of us bolt out of the parking lot me and the other jeeper in one direction and the Subi in the other. To our delight the sheriff follows the later. We park in a court out of view or any cross streets and wait. Within about five minutes we get the all clear and come down. Here's the funny part, instead of cussing the earth in general that we expect to be happening the subi driver is outside his car laughing. He then goes on to explain what had occurred. The officers after pulling him over began by complimenting him on his driving an ability to maintain control during his slides. They then stated how much they wished they could join us but in doing so there would be a good chance of them being fired. They then give us permission to continue as long as we didn't crash into the building or any of the planters/light posts. Greatest part is we've decided to do the same thing tomorrow night, but this time we're bringing some girls....
