ABOUT ME
I love my XJ. I LOVE it. It's the best vehicle I've ever owned. She treats me good, so I treat her good. I'm a big fan of watching movies, music (listening or performing), AC/DC, and being outside. I also have an undying love for the Green Bay Packers (It's okay Brett... you're still cool with me).

JEEP HISTORY
I was looking to upgrade from my '93
lowered S-10. I had a little girl now and
was originally looking for a Chevy Astro.
After deciding that maintenance on one of
those would be too much hassle, I decided
to opt for a Tahoe or some other kind of
large SUV. I didn't really want a Blazer
since they seemed a bit too small to me. I
finally came across a 2001 Jeep Cherokee
Limited a guy was selling for $4500. I
asked him if he would take $4k for it, and
he agreed. I had the money in hand the
next day and started driving over there
when he gave me a call saying that someone
else had just offered him full price and I
got a "sorry, you know how it
is" from him. I was pretty pissed. SO
I decided to keep looking around for more
Jeep SUVs. Honestly, I didn't even realize
there was a difference between the
Cherokee and Grand Cherokee before I did
some research. I came to really, really
like the 97+ Cherokees. I have never even
considered a Jeep before, and I'm still
not a fan of the Wranglers, but the
off-road look and boxy shape pf the XJ
really appealed to me. I wound up getting
a silver one in immaculate condition with
103k miles for $4k. I had the oil and
tranny fluids changed, tires rotated, and
bought a new head unit (so I could plug in
my USB drive into it) and a K&N
drop-in filter. I love the thing to death.
The gas mileage is a bit lower than what I
had previously thought, but the pros
definitely outweigh the cons. (Oh and by
the way, the guy who stiffed me on the
Grand Cherokee called me back the day
after I bought the XJ and said the other
guy never showed and wanted to know if I
was still interested. *click*.) DEAL OF
THE CENTURY: About six months after I
bought the XJ, I noticed that the tires
were in need of replacing from dry-rot and
tread wear, so I did some research on one
my my favorite sites: craigslist. I came
across an ad that simply said
"16" wheels with new tires for a
Cherokee". I called the guy
immediately and told them I'd be there in
an hour (which is about the time it would
take to drive there; you'll know why in a
minute). I finally get there and he walks
me around to the back where he has a CJ up
on jack stands and various Jeep parts all
over the place. He showed me the wheels
and tires and it took me all of about half
a second to say "I'll take
them". He told me his buddy wanted to
buy his XJ from him to make a rock crawler
out of it, and since he had just bought
the tires on the wheels, he said he could
have everything except those. So... I
walked away with a set of brand-new
16" Icon wheels and four brand new
Michelin Cross Terrain tires for $150.
woot!

Once upon a time, there was a Bear and a Bee who lived in a wood and were the best of friends. All summer long, the Bee collected nectar from morning to night while the Bear lay on his back basking in the long grass. When winter came the Bear realised he had nothing to eat and thought to himself "I hope that busy little Bee will share some of his honey with me." But the Bee was nowhere to be found - he had died of a stress induced coronary disease. -Banksy
