I bought a 1983 CJ7 (automatic) and loved
(most) every minute of it. I hated the
carb and vacuum mess though. I sold it 10
years later for $100 more than I paid for
it.
I see Jeeps and always say how I
miss my Jeep. Well in August of 2007, I
bought a plain white 1984 CJ7 with a dead
motor for $2,000 and sold all the parts I
didn't want/need and made $1,220 back (so
far).
She's now copper and very custom.
I named her "Penny" because
she's copper but my friends tease me and
say that it's about all I'll have left
after I restore her. Pretty
close!
She's about 99% restored. Every
nut, bolt, piece of rubber... pretty much
everything has either been replaced,
repaired or made.
