JEEP HISTORY
I bought the 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee in
Washington DC 4 years ago for 2500 bucks,
exactly what the owner had spent getting
the front end redone when he realized that
they just wanted a mini van for the kids.
I dove it back to Austin and have had
it since. The other JGC, I bought not
running. Was sitting at the Chrysler
dealership at the service parking lot.
They had it a week and couldnt figure it
out and it wasnt the first time it was in.
I took it home as the guys there told me I
was wasting my money. I drove back a few
hour later after I got it going to ask if
they still thought I was wasting my money.
Had new tires, brakes and rotors all
around, new shocks and springs, new
exhaust including new cat, new O2,
throttle, CPS sensors, plugs, cap and
rotor, wires, the list goes on and on.
About 2400 bucks worth of work done a few
months earlier and all the work with
warranty. Owner was a kid that has rich
parents.. They bought it new and were
gonna pull it behind their RV but got a
smaller car for that. When I got the Jeep,
they had already bought him a small
import. They didnt wanna deal with it any
more. Even though these cars are
plagued with problems, I have found most
are minor and easy to fix once found. The
hard part is finding them.
