In the early 1970 my family moved to the
top of the Mountain in the Catskill
Mountians. We purchased a 1973 Jeep
J2000 Truck. We also purchased 2
Wagoneers and an Eagle. I drove the Jeep
Truck from 73 to 78, it was a GREAT TRUCK.
We joined the Scoharie County Jeep Club
as charter or starting members and had a
ball. My dad & I enjoyed the trail
rides and there were great
trails.
Spring 2007 I purchased a 1978
CJ7 from a young man that said it has 26k
miles and I believed him. Then I started
taking more apart and I have some doubts.
I rebuilt the 258 and working on a frame
on restoration. I have from the Rear
Wheels forward restored so far. Trying to
get the Weber & Engine dialed in and
getting close with the help of your
JEEPFORUM. Thank you. So far looks,
runs, goes pretty well. Looking forward
to it running even better.
This will
be a keeper for me
