ABOUT ME
I'm Dave, I'm a Jack of all
trades, HVAC/R tech, car/Jeep
mechanic, AMC fanatic, amateur
porn star, a wise *** and a
full-blown Jeep addict. My Jeep is
my life. I love old cars, young
women, aged liquor and fresh
cigars. My Jeep is my life.

This '87 YJ (registered as an
"American Motors Wrangler" in
Connecticut) is my first Jeep, personally,
but I'm no newbie to the Jeep scene...
both of my parents, as well as my uncles,
grandparents, etc. were owners and racers
of Jeeps and Land Cruisers and part of the
"Nuts Racing Team of Stamford,
Conn." in the 1980s, and raced on
tracks across the Northeast, such as
Southwick (MX338, cc4w.org), Monson
hillclimb, Franklin, sand drags and a
bunch of others. Only Southwick and Monson
still exist as far as I know. Both are in
Massachusetts.
I greatly prefer the
REAL Jeeps, EARLY YJ's and OLDER... REAL
Jeeps had LEAF SPRINGS... they weren't
imitation plastic toy Jeeps that handle
like a stack of flapjacks on the
road.
Anyway, between my father and I
we have 4 AMC's and a Jeep left in our
herd. '76 Gremlin X 258 L6 2bbl (rare
option), '75 Gremlin X 304 V8 (original,
68k miles, street driven still), '70
Javelin SST drag car (12.88 w/o tuning the
new carb), '70 Javelin SST "Mark
Donohue" street / restomod car that's
getting some custom upgrades throughout
its "restorification", and my
'87 YJ that's getting a bunch of
low-dollar, high-forethought upgrades.
Feel free to ask any questions.
