Yeah, that's why I went with warrior. The boot doesn't need to be cut. It's flexible and stretchy so it worked for me. And the hood mount come with a hole to lock the hi-lift. I have the lock hidden under the boot.

Thanks man. I like the hood lift mount look. It's made by Warrior and I got it from 4wd.com. I also have a hi lift neoprene cover that I got on amazon. It covers the jacking part and gears/springs. Let me know if I can help any further.
