...especially if you have a six-speaker VDP
sound-bar.
So I suppose I should start this story as most stories
begin, at the beginning. I mean, I could start in the
middle, where the exciting bit was, but then you might
not know what's happening. I could also start at the
beginning, skip to the end, and then go to the middle
to make sure you read all the way to the end, but that
might be even more confusing.
So, here it goes.
The beginning:
I was walking to my Jeep after school. I began to take
the top down as I usually do when it's too cold in the
morning to drive topless, and too hot in the afternoon
to keep it up. I noticed some people lounging around
next to their cars in the spots next to mine. I ask,
"You need some help, or are you just hangin'
around?"
The Middle:
They were just hangin' out. They began to talk amongst
themselves about speakers. So I causally state "I have
eight"
Which I do.
This immediately grabbed their attention because they
liked to think of themselves as the loudest kids in the
parking lot. I quickly continued "but my head-unit
sucks," (which it does) to make sure their ego wasn't
further damaged by not only not being the loudest kids
around, but by, more importantly, not driving a Jeep
(which I assume they were especially upset about).
So these kids come over and begin giving my Jeep a
look; they were extremely interested. One continually
remarked "Man, I love your Jeep." I just smiled,
nodded, and got that fuzzy feeling inside we all get
when we know we know somebody is lusting after
something you have (well, except maybe your
wife/girlfriend).
The End:
I drove home, topless and listening to my music...

| 06camarodude 12/18/2008 8:35 PM I would suggest that you take all
of the required classes first, get
the Math, English, and Science
classes out of the way, that will
help you to narrow it down. Don't
overdo it though, you don't want
to burn out on writing-intensive
courses. If I were you, I'd also
take an Intro class in
Engineering, just to see if that's
something you might be interested
in. |

| | 06camarodude 12/18/2008 7:47 PM Started out as a Music Education
major, then realized that with the
direction American Youth are
going, I don't have the level of
patience to deal with them on a
daily basis. . . So, halfway
through my Sophomore year, I
switched to Criminal Justice with
a Minor in Saxophone Performance.
I'm halfway through my Junior
year, and decided that the best
thing for me to do right now is to
take some time off to get my life
in order, so I'm enlisting in the
U.S. Army as a 31B (Military
Police Officer), and I'll finish
my degree through online and
correspondence courses while I'm
serving my country.
If you have any more questions
about anything, just let me know,
I'd be glad to help you figure out
what you want to do! |

| | 06camarodude 12/18/2008 7:35 PM That thread has SERIOUSLY made me
wonder why there hasn't been any
research into curing stupidity, or
at least making it less prominent
in our generation. . . To think
that I was arguing a point with a
High School student that is
OBVIOUSLY vastly superior in
intellect, wit, and harsh
come-backs to my "under-developed"
College-educated mind is simply
incomprehensible.
Oh, and High Five right back at
ya. You have proven to be smarter
than the average 17-year-old.
Congratulations, and know that
although intelligence is
increasingly rare these days, you
are not alone. . . |
