ABOUT ME
I'm an Englishman living in the
US. My idea of offroading is
driving across a slightly mucky
field to a country fair hosted by
the Duke of Northumberland.
Everyone asks me what my name /
license plate means: IDRIS is a
Welsh name, used for (1) a small
dragon in the TV show Ivor The
Engine, and (2) the woman who
becomes the embodiment of the
Tardis in the 5th series of Dr.
Who.
My daughter named her for reason
#1, I accepted the name for reason
#2.

Now on second Jeep. Wanted a Land Rover -
decided Wrangler was better, by far! LR =
only vehicle on Earth that could even
challenge Jeep's supremacy. It failed my
test!
First Jeep: Wrangler Sport
(light blue), 5 spd manual, Top Five
safari rack. Most reliable vehicle I'd
owned to that point!
Latest vehicle:
2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon (white), 6
spd manual, body-colored hardtop &
flares, black leather, navigation (430N),
supplemental airbags, auto climate
control, connectivity pkg, max towing
pkg.
I figure. if I'm going to
rock-crawl, then I'll do it in luxury like
we expect to in England. ;-)

| IDRIS 03/10/2012 10:04 AM The 23rd psalm. It seems to have
fallen out of popularity.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall
not want. He maketh me to lie
down in green pastures: he
leadeth me beside the still
waters. He restoreth my soul: he
leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I
will fear no evil: for thou art
with me; thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me. Thou preparest a
table before me in the presence of
mine enemies: thou anointest my
head with oil; my cup runneth
over. Surely goodness and mercy
shall follow me all the days of my
life: and I will dwell in the
house of the Lord forever.
The KJV is the best thing ever to
come out of the 17th century,
closely followed by anything by
Shakespeare. |
