This is my 4th XJ. I've had two -
Two-Door's that I loved, and a previous
four-door that I didn't love, but liked.
I have also owned a '96 Grand and an
'05 HEMI Grand. They both sucked! Grocery
Gitt'rs is all they were good for.
I
did quite a bit of mild off-roading in
Germany with the XJs and found a great
love for them.
If its up to me, I will
always have at least one in my
driveway!
The current one shown in my
pics, is a '98 purchased from a
dealership, but was a one-owner who
installed a complete Borla Exhaust system
to include a Header and on-back.
He
also installed an after-market sun roof.
Whoever did it, did it right. No
leaks.
There is almost no rust on this
vehicle.
I added a 2" receiver to
pull a 10' Trailer for my Harley and
what-not.
4 OCT 10 - AJ's Armor Tow
Hooks assembly.
Aug 10- I also added a
50" Kargo-Master Basket, w/ Shovel
and Hi-Lift mounts, on top that is perfect
for our camping gear, tools and spare when
on the trail. I may replace it with the
60" soon.
I am looking at a
3"-4" Lift kit in the near
future as well as at least 31"
tires.
Further down the road, Winch and
Armor.
Basically, I want to
"Bullet-Proof" this XJ. It will
take me some time. I am hoping to have it
lifted and trail ready within a year. This
year I am focusing on getting it ready for
our winter icey roads.
