JEEP HISTORY
This Jeep started out with the 304 V8 and
a 3 speed manual transmission and transfer
case. That owner then changed
transmissions to the granny low 4 speed
transmission and transfer case. Upon
purchasing the jeep I also was given the
three speed transmission, bell housing and
transfer case that had been removed from
it. This was a vehicle that was right
on the edge of becoming a neglected junker
or being brought back to be a dependable,
enjoyable vehicle. I am in the process of
getting everything up to snuff. This is my
third Jeep, but first CJ. I have
been busy getting the small stuff back on
it like dash knobs, sun visors, seat belts,
etc. This is the first vehicle I have seen
with the wiring being a total rats nest.
Also there are a ton of disconnected
wires,yet everything works. It runs
good. The carburetor is an Edelbrock 4
barrell patterned after the carter AFB.
The intake manifold is a Edelbrock. There
are headers on it. It has the hard top
and full doors. Came from the factory that
way. It had good care somewhere in its
past or it would not be here now. The last
owner really let it run down. I have
cleaned up the floor boards and removed
the rust (small amount not bad)and Por 15d
the rust areas and sprayed the whole
interior with the U Pol Raptor. Worked out
great.
