JEEP HISTORY
My first car when I turned 15 was a
non-running 1979 CJ-5 with a small block
out of an 85' Corvette and a 3-speed.
Would wheelie to the point of getting
dangerous. Only had the factory sport bar
for any roll-overs. Unfortunately it
didn't pass emissions in my county and I
didn't have the $ to fab a legal exhaust
for it. Also needed the money a year later
for college tuition. In 2006 my parents
bought me my current 2000 XJ as a
graduation gift, mostly out of necessity
as the Chevy Lumina I was driving wasn't
going to survive the Colorado desert roads
during my 6 month internship with the
NPS. In November of 2011, I rolled that
XJ, I have since bough another one and
swapped over the salvageable parts, as
well as lifted it with the RC 4.5"
kit.
