JEEP HISTORY
When I was in High School, my brother and
I had a 1983 Jeep CJ-5 Renegade. We took
that thing everywhere, even up a tree or
two! Good times were had then. One day
he rolled it off the side of a hill and
that was the end of our 4x4 days. Years
later, my brother was in a car accident
and got killed. I haven't owned a Jeep
since. Fast forward 25 years...I was
looking through an old photo album and
found some pictures of our old Jeep
("The Yeti" as we called it).
Remembering the good times we had, I
decided to recently purchase a CJ-7 and
let the good times roll. I bought an
1985 CJ-7 off a retired Fireman up in
Sanger, Texas. This CJ needs a lot of
work, but the good thing is the tub hardly
has NO rust on it! He kept it in a barn.
I got a GREAT deal on it. The PO had hit
a bridge with ice and damaged the right
front end (but very repairable). So now,
the money is flowing from my checking
account into the "Texas Yeti."
It's good to be back.
