JEEP HISTORY
I got interested in Jeeps in the early
1980's. When I had the opportunity to get
my first vehicle around 1986, I wanted a
CJ but my parents thought something with 4
doors would be more practical.
Fast-forward to 2005 when I started
thinking about buying a classic CJ. After
test driving a really beat-up 1981 CJ7, I
determined that a could not use a CJ as a
100% daily driver. I figured that a CJ
would have to be a second
vehicle. After 5 years of scanning
Craigslist, Autotrader, and Ebay on and
off I found a CJ that met all the basic
requirements: Good frame, white paint, T5,
not too beat up, not too modified, no
diamondplate, and not overpriced.
