My Dad always had Jeeps issued to him
through the railroad. I remember once when
the Ujoint went in North Dakota. He got
out took off the drive shaft and put it in
the back seat next to my little brother.
Then we drove to the nearest shop in 4x4
and they fixed it.
Then in 98 I rolled
an 88 Cherokee end over end after jumping
180'. The Dr. said most vehicles would
have caved in all the way. Jeeps sure are
tough. Then years later I worked with
Chrysler Showcase out of Mpls, MN. I then
rekindled the fire and since the 88 I have
had a 2007 Liberty, then 2 more almost
identical 98 XJ's. 2 because a guy turned
into one on the highway while my wife was
driving and rolled it. And the other was
just lucky to find one the same year,
color, trim. The only difference was the
replacement had aluminum wheels versus the
steel.
