I have a couple pulleys that I'll let go for cheap if you can use em. I think the 3.5" with your stroker will only get you 2 lbs of boost. Keep in touch

Boost is at 6.5lbs.I had to have a custom 2.25" pulley made by a CNC shop because the 4.8 stroker and Hesco head combo ate all the boost with the Avenger pulley. I could only get 3 lb of boost with their smallest pulley which is around 2.75 I think. What size you runnin now.

Wow, I gotta check messages more often sorry. Lack of cooling and detonation are instant motor death, That stinks! I am running the Kieth Black dished forged piston which give me about 9.5 to 1, which is acceptable with the aluminum head and 6.5 pounds of boost. I still get pinging if I try to run 89 octane. HP on the Dyno rear wheels is at 250 and Torque was outstanding at 350 ft lbs at only 2600 rpm.Let me know how the rebuild goes.

Not sure the brand. Just have to make sure your computer has the correct driver. I use the 15 pin to usb adapter type of cable. I'm sure you had your key on, but had to mention it. I have forgot several times, and the FTC wont communicate with the key off. You also need to make sure the computer port is on. I struggle with the whole COM port thing and rely on my wife to set up the ports for me. Im still struggling with a tranny issue so my Jeeps been down. Engines running excellant, but my "beefed up" rebuilt tranny has been giving me a P0740 code thats driving me nuts trying to solve. Good luck, the FTC is a great tool.

It was easy in one aspect and hard in anouther. I recieved the parts had them sand blasted and painted - along with my stock roll bar. i di this wihile the Raptor bed liner project was underway. I did not have any one to help and trying to not chip the new paint was a pain in the butt. It did take a lot of tinkering to get it installed right. The key is to not tighten anything down unitl all is in place. It is hard to install the driver side parts. This is due to the jeep wire harness parts you need to work around. My jeep is longer a daily driver, just a weekend toy - I investigated a weld in cage and could not find any one willing to do the work as i dont weld pretty. Well looking back maybe i should have looked harder for a welder. The bolt in cage is really all i need but it would have been nice to have a weld in. Over all i am happy with the RockHard product and would add when i had questions they were great on the phone. They always said call anytime we will be glad to help. That was nice. I like it and I do think it would help in a roll over.

The new self contained version doesn't require any taps to supply or return oil, Avenger went away from the old version which relied on engine oil pressure.

I've done a couple older versions, it's very simple with an air hammer, make a few practice holes in some sheet metal other than your oil pan first and mark the punch bit so you don't poke it in to far, if you do the tap won't thread properly, the reason for the punch is to roll the metal inwards to create a surface to cut threads in, you can just drill it but that way will likely result in having to remove the entire pan.

My Avenger is running fantastic. I actually just made a 8lb pully just to see what it would do. 3.5 lbs of boost will be a nice runner with iron heads and stock compression. There are mixed opinions on drilling the oil pan and running live oil from the engines system or running a closed system with GM supercharger oil. I run mine off of the engines oil sytem and change the oil regularly.
You can get away without having all the auxilary equipment (OBD, Wideband ) but you risk the chance of running lean and hurting the engine. Maybe a run on a dyno would be cheaper insurance than the wideband sytem and OBD 2 reader. Most SC manufacturers have the injectors dialed in pretty close for a stock engine installation. If you want to jump up in boost you'll need a timing controller! Let me know how it's going and if you have any more question. CHEERS
