I've always liked Jeeps but didn't really
get into them until 97 (88 YJ) I played
around with it for a few years until I
wiped out on the way to work one night. (
I'll see about getting some pics of what
was left of it ) later that year I got a
86 Grand Wagoneer, got tired of driving
"The Battleship" and picked up a
smaller 85 2dr Cherokee that had been
flooded (I didn't know this at the
time....Hey I was still recovering from a
head injury in the YJ) and spent the next
year in a vicious cycle of "
repair-rebuild- replace" until I
finally had enough of the "Little
Jeep that wouldn't" and put it out of
my misery. to add insult to injury I went
thru a divorce at the same time so I ended
up spending the next few years on the
road, dreaming of one day driving &
building a Jeep again. In 04 I started
getting settled down again found a great
woman,married her, and a few short years
later we had a beautiful Jeep TJ!!! It was
her 1st Jeep so that made it extra
special! We havn't began a build up on the
TJ yet although I do plan on a few things
this year like bumpers and rims, but it
gets us down the trails we want to run for
now we're runnin 31x10.50 Kumhos but other
than that she's stock( the Jeep that is)
I've also been reading a little about the
AEM Trailjammer kit so if anyone has any
1st hand experience I'd be happy to hear
about it. I still haven't decided whether
I want to sink the time and money into
this Jeep for a major build up or use my
garage for more than just storing junk and
get a project vehicle going, I'm leaning
toward starting the build up on an older
Jeep, but I guess we'll just have to wait
and see.
