JEEP HISTORY
From the time I was 16 I wanted a Jeep,
but it never worked out until later. I got
married in June 2001, bought a '98 TJ
Sahara in August 2001, and found out we
were pregnant two months later. In order
to afford the daycare payment that was
coming, I only got to keep the Jeep for
about a year and then I had to sell it. It
was replaced with a '91 Ford Ranger 2wd
that I drove that for 5 long years. On
Nov. 20, 2007 my wife surprised me with a
new Jeep - a '91 YJ Wrangler. I was super
excited. After having it a few years and
spending a few thousand dollars on it, I
decided I was tired of being in debt &
decided to sell it too. I have learned
that trying to have a toy/hobby like a
jeep with payments is not a good idea.
After driving an old Toyota Camry &
having paid off about $60k in 2 years I
bought an '01 WJ with cash on June 1, 2012
with a plan of continuing to save for a
TJ. Just 22 days later my wife decided to
surprise me for my 33rd birthday and she
traded in her '03 Tahoe to buy me a 2001
TJ and said she would drive the WJ. The
best part is that she wrote a check for
the TJ. I'm excited to have a Wrangler
again and can't wait to start building it.

Sorry for the delay, havn't been on the site in a while. Thanks for the compliment, its a great daily driving set up. Rides nice for a lifted jeep! No driveline or steering issues at all. Good luck with your set up!

Thanks for the compliment. I have 2.5" OME HD coil springs with OME shocks. On top of the springs I have 2" Daystar coil spacers. I also added a JKS adjustable track bar. Then I put 266/75/R16 PROCOMP EXTREME MUD TERRAIN tires under it all. I didn't lengthen the driveshaft, drop the transfer case, or anything like that. No vibration whatsoever.

That was a reply to a quesition you had asked me, in case you were wondering. Oh... and it bothered me that I spelled wrench wrong :flipoff2:

Every time I start a build I end up selling it due to the lack of time to finish them. My business has grown more than 30x that of what it was a year ago and I just don't have time to wrich on my rigs anymore. I've gone more of the buggy style here of late and got tired of having stuff to nice to go beat on. It's hard.. To have something you would be proud to wheel yet keep it in that shape while doing so. It's kind of like wearing your church clothes to mow the yard in. That's where the buggy fits my game a little better. I haven't had a Jeep as a dd since college. With that being said when I use them I beat on them and purdy jeeps just are not for me any more. I like something that if I roll it or do something dumb I won't cry on the drive home.

It's nice to see a clean YJ built like this one and not all shopped up into a buggy. Very clean and capable on and off road. A credit to the YJ community!
