ABOUT ME
As far as mechanical credentials go: I've been working on cars in some form since I was 3. I've rebuilt entire cars with very little outside help that were reliable daily drivers. Most notably I did that with a 65 Corvair that started as a basketcase. I rebuilt the engine, braking system, etc all myself and drove it for a few years before selling it. I've done all the work I possibly can to my own and my family's vehicles for a long time. Brakes, various filters and fluid changes, transmission shift-kits, tune-ups, component replacements, electrical work...you name it. I also have a technical degree in Collision Repair that I earned with hard work. I'm old enough to have asked the right questions when I attended and questioned what my teachers told me instead of taking everything they said as gospel. That being said they were GREAT instructors with a lot of *real world* experience to use in teaching us. I am a husband, and a father of two little girls!

JEEP HISTORY
I bought Patience in May of 2011. It took
almost 9 months for the state to get their
**** together and get me a title I could
take to the DMV to title it in my name.
The guy I bought it from is one of the
biggest POS I've ever
encountered. Someone installed a cone
filter cold air system and a JET ST1
before me. I've gone back to a stock
intake with a Wix filter and removed the
Jet chip after it caused headaches. I
rebuilt the engine in 2012. Nothing too
spectacular. Silv-o-lite cast pistons,
surfaced the head about 0.015. Melling
High Volume oil pump, new cam, resized the
rods, new lifters (of course). I also
polished the Throttle body slightly. I
went through the sensors and cleaned them
with electronics-safe cleaner as
well. It's pretty well broken it at 12k
now and running great. Very little oil
usage, typical 15mpg in town mileage
(which sucks but I didn't buy a Jeep
because of its gas mileage), etc... I've
done work here and there - upper and lower
BJ's, tie rods, new steering stabilizer,
heater core, front and rear brakes, long
brake line....the list keeps getting
longer as I "Just Empty Every
Pocket....."
