When I first joined the Australian Army,
we had the ex WW2 jeeps, then Austin
Champs (Rolls donks) then LandRovers up
until my six years were up. In civvy
street i wanted a Jeep, but the were not
being imported then, so in 1994 I bought
the next best thing, a Asia Rocsta SWB
diesel. Got Detriot lockers front &
rear, lifted spring over etc. Still drive
it. Then they started to import Jeep
again, so in 2000, I got a new Wrangler
with lots of ARB kit already fitted before
I drove it away. I fitted the winch next
year. Ditched the rear seat on day one.
Got a used hard top later & fitted a
magic Rhino Rack, used mainly for standing
on to take photos. On my wish list is a
diesel one but am having a ball with this
one now.
