ABOUT ME
I have been married to my best
friend and wonderful wife for 10
years this August, we have 2 boys
that are 6 and 4. We all have a
deep love for Jeeps, my wife and I
met because of my 77 CJ7, and she
actually cried when I sold it. We
have just re-entered the world of
Jeeps again and traded our 01
Honda Accord for a 98 TJ. It is
painfully stock at this point, but
we just put on some new rims and
32x11.5x15 BFG's and are hoping to
get a lift in the next few weeks.
We are in Beaverton Oregon and are
looking for a family friendly Jeep
club in our area, so if anybody
knows of one or is a member of
one, please let me know.

I got my first Jeep in 1996, it was a 77
CJ 7, red, 4" lift, 33x15.5x15
mudders and no power steering. I was
instantly in love with Jeeps from the
first minute I drove it. Thanks to that
wonderful CJ, I met my now wife. She saw
me in the mirror and decided to honk, I
pulled in to a 7-Eleven and we have been
together ever since. That was 13 years
ago, and we have been married for 10 of
those years. About 3 weeks ago, we decided
we needed another Jeep, so we sold our
2001 Honda Accord and are now the proud
new owners of a 98 TJ. It is painfully
stock, but under construction. It is a
Sport with the 4.0L, auto trans, hard top,
and for what ever reason it has A/C. The
day I brought it home, the top and doors
came off, it had been so many years with
out a Jeep so it had to be done right
away. My wife and my two sons are just as
in love with it as I am, which will make
building it a lot easier. So far I have
picked up a set of 32x11.5x15 BFG A/T
K/O's and should be getting wheels in the
next few days, and the lift to promptly
follow. The only thing I don't really
like, is that there are so many people
with Jeeps in Portland, but only a few
that are Jeep people. There isn't the
friendly wave's from others, and I have to
say, as stupid as it may be, I miss that.
When I had my CJ, it seemed that everybody
gave the wave, head nod, honk or what
ever, and it seems to be very rare now. I
am, how ever looking for a family friendly
Jeep club in the Portland, Beaverton area,
so if there are any members of a club like
that here, I would love to hear from you.
So that's how my love affair started, and
it just gets stronger everyday.
