JEEP HISTORY
This is my second car I've owned in my
lifetime. I'm careful with any auto
investment and maintain them the best way
I can for the long term. I was
looking to have a second car and fell for
the older Jeeps. I purchased my 1980 CJ7
Laredo close to 10 years ago. With only
97,500 miles on it. Though it came with
no doors, no top, and no passenger seat!
I wasn't concerned as I would take care of
those things immediately. There was
very light surface rust on the floor well,
which I took to hand sanding and later
got the interior of the jeep LineX! The
best investment you could put into a jeep
is adding a undercoating to protect the
interior. Now at 127,000 miles.. I've
kept the mileage low during these years
especially with this CJ being a V8 engine.
She IS quite the drinker of gasoline.
;) Other than that she rides fine and
will be going in soon for some minor
engine work.. clickity lifters and a gas
leaking carburator amongst a few other
fixers. As the saying goes.. J.E.E.P -
just empty every pocket I LOVE my
"UK sheJ7" and doing what I can
to keep her driveable.
