| Matt Graham 06/09/2009 5:32 PM how's that jeep doing? doing any
riding this summer? |
|
|
| Matt Graham 02/15/2009 4:03 PM Hey man, what's been going on with
you lately? Been working on the
jeep any? |
|
|
| Matt Graham 10/14/2008 4:57 PM well I've actually just been
driving it. Put about 1000 miles
on it since I originally heard the
problem. Nothing has happened so
far. I've been watching the oil
pressure & temperature and
everything has been
fine...Hopefully it'll stay that
way. I decided to just drive it
until it blew up & then I'd
rebuild it, & hopefully it'll be
fine. We'll see...We are for sure
going up early Sat. morning to
Birmingham. Let me know if you can
make it. It should be a blast! |
|
|
| Matt Graham 10/10/2008 9:43 PM heading over to Grayrock (near
Birmingham I think) in two weeks.
You should come - whatcha think? |
|
|
| Matt Graham 09/05/2008 7:44 PM hey man - well....didn't end up
going on that ride. The motor has
been knocking in the Jeep and I
figured I shouldn't chance it.
It's been leaking a little more
oil too. I've only driven it maybe
5-10 times in the last month,
which I hate because the weather
is getting very suitable for the
Jeep. There is a few rides coming
up in October that I might like to
try and go to. What's been up with
you? School in full swing yet? |
|
|
| Matt Graham 07/25/2008 10:07 PM cool. Yeah we'll probably camp
Friday night and ride all day
Saturday and drive home around
dark on Saturday night. I'm
looking forward to it. It's going
to be a blast. I'm nervous though,
because the Jeep is going into the
shop on Monday and will probably
have to have some motor work.
Hopefully they'll finish it up
within two weeks. I'm keeping my
fingers crossed. |

|
| Matt Graham 07/24/2008 12:14 PM alright - here we go. You still
down for this?

|
| Matt Graham 07/17/2008 7:45 AM alright I think I have it. August
15-17 is the March of Dimes ride
at Morris Mountain. Any way you
can make that? That'd be perfect
for me. Let me know. |
|
|
| Matt Graham 07/16/2008 5:24 PM sure, sounds good to me. I'd like
to go again sometime between now &
end of August. Never been to Gray
Rock. I know Morris Mountain is a
lot of fun if you haven't been
over there yet. It is right near
Wedowee. Where is Gray Rock? I
know my buddy Jody C. will want to
come & bring his newly sprung-over
YJ. |
|
|
| Matt Graham 07/12/2008 2:59 PM how did you go about mounting the
traction bar (on the shackle
side)? my buddy used a tubing
bender and put two bends into some
2" square tubing and made mounting
tabs out of some angle iron and
bolted to the frame on each side.
then he mounted the bracket on the
shackle to that. |
|
|
| Matt Graham 07/12/2008 1:14 PM by the way, where did you get your
springs? Did you do this project
out of your garage, or at a
buddy's house, or did a shop do
the welding & stuff for you? Just
curious..... |
|
|
| Matt Graham 07/12/2008 1:08 PM I'd be lying if I said I hadn't
been thinking about it since my
buddy finished his up & seeing
your pics. I know from his
experience that I don't want to
try it by taking leaves out of a
4" leaf pack, which is the route
he took. The 4" leaves were too
tall for 36's and he didn't want
to fork out the $$ for new
springs. Anyway, maybe when I can
save enough for a traction bar, a
new set of springs, the steering
bracket, and someone comes along
wanting to buy my springs, I can
go ahead. I'd like to be sitting
an inch or two higher than I am
now and I know that I love the
stance yours has. If the stars
line up......who knows......could
be soon! |

| Matt Graham 05/31/2008 10:04 AM Hey man. I saw in one of the
threads that you went to Brookwood
High School. Did you know Coach
Titus Martin? I believe he teaches
& coaches there. I went to high
school with him and taught with
his dad for a few years. |

|
| warregl 05/08/2008 6:31 AM Good luck in the fall. I sure wish
I was doing it again (even
remembering how hard it was). As
for the off road scene, well it's
been 20 years so I wouldn't know
where to start. I'll shoot you a
PM if I can make a game this year
and I'll buy you a beer at Mama
Goldbergs!
And one small piece of advice, go
to class it makes everything so
much easier (it took me a while to
learn that)! |
