Not sure what tires you are planning to run in the future but, if its 33s or smaller 4.56s or 4.88s would be the way to go for your gearing with the 42RLE. I have the 4.56s with my 32s and its perfect but, for some 33s it might be better to have the 4.88s in that case. I never thought gearing would make such a difference but it does. I had the 3.73s with 32s and in the hills it was a dog and on flat surface it was livable but, not great.
