JEEP HISTORY
Alright, so the first vehicle I bought was
a 2WD Exploder. It was a solidly average
vehicle. Everything worked fairly well, it
got less than impressive gas mileage, but
it wasn't bad. The only problem was that
it just wasn't fun. After a year with
that, I found an advert on CraigsList for
a 1997 Wrangler SE. I ended up trading the
guy my Exploder and around 1.5k cash for
the Wrangler. The original owner had
rolled it in NC, so it had a salvage
title. He'd replaced the fenders, then did
body work and fresh paint to fix
everything up. So really, other than the
crooked roll cage and salvage title, it
was a pretty well maintained vehicle, only
suffering from a lack of HP under the
hood. Over the last few years now, I've
completely changed the way the Jeep looks,
and am working on changing the way it
functions. New paint, new bumper, and tube
fenders have gone a long way, as well as a
set of MTRs. Right now I'm working on
regearing to 4.88, installing a Super35
(With Detroit), and a LockRite in the D30,
before upgrading the brakes, and steering,
and making the jump to 35s.
