JEEP HISTORY
I've been in the dirt all of my life. My
parents went camping a lot and avoided the
city parks and did the National Parks. My
Dad was a Marine, and everything he drove
had to be modified for the dirt. When I
started driving we looked for an early MB
or CJ2A, 3A or 3B. We couldn't find one I
could afford or salvage back to life. My
Dad's Army buddy located a 5 year old '73
Toyota FJ-40 w/27,000 mi. on it which I
still have now. (Edit, sold after 35 yrs
of ownership) Now jump ahead to the 2003
Pomona Ca. Off-Road Expo, I go to the
California Association of Four Wheel Clubs
booth and buy 10 tickets ($2 each) and I
win it. The Jeep came buffed out with most
of the mods listed. I've added a few
things to personalize it. And yes, I wheel
it like a rental car. It's built for
crawling and malling.
