When I was younger my dad picked up a 1980
CJ7 limited that was cool as hell and
seemed to almost impossible to get stuck.
It had the inline 6 with the 5 speed and
was a blast to drive. He sold it for
really good money and after that I wanted
one of my own, but I never did find one.
Over 10 years later I really got the itch
for an LJ Rubicon and found a great deal
on a low mileage 2006 with both tops and
the 6 speed. About a year after I bought
my LJ my family grew so that we no longer
fit in the LJ and I picked up a brand new
JK 4 door sport S with both tops. It's a
much better family vehicle, but I think
the LJ Rubicon will always be my favorite.
