Back in high school my friend got a jeep
and let me drive it one day. I was hooked.
Three years later I was walking from work
to the "Brand Boulavard of Cars"
to look for a car as I had turned my lease
in a few weeks back. The very first car
lot I came to there was a 1998 Red
Wrangler with only 20k miles (it was 3
years old). I walked a bit further, then
turned around and bought it. It was
perfect. Except for a very odd problem
where the engine would seemingly cut in
and out very violently whilst driving. I
took it to the Jeep dealership where they
were able to duplicate the problem, but
had no idea how to fix it. I then took it
to a tiny German car shop in the North
Valley and they said it was the "gas
slope something or other" either way
they fixed it and it lasted me 5 long
years with not one single problem. That is
until i lent it to my friend for a few
months and he parked it on the street one
day when someone ran into the rear of it
going 70mph (see my photos for destruction
shot)...
Eight months later we got a
second dog. And using her as an excuse I
went out and bought a new used Wrangler.
Yay!
