It all started with my first car, a 73 CJ5
with a built 304 and spd. Nothing like
being in high school and being able to
shoot flames out the side pipes and pull a
small wheelie in the parking lot! From
there, I moved on to my next CJ5, another
73 which I did the full restomod myself,
sold to a buddy, which he sold to someone
else, which sold to someone in a different
state, which I ended up selling a house to
in my own home town, which in turn enabled
me to get my Jeep back! In the mean time,
I aquired a 94YJ 4.0 as my DD, then a 99TJ
4.0 auto as my DD, then went a year or so
without one, once I got into Real Estate
heavily, and needed a bigger DD (taxi cab
for people wanting a beach tour instead of
actually buying anything!). After that, I
purchased a 75 CJ5 out of a junk yard for
$250, which has been at my Jeep shop in
Clemson, SC for 3 years now...they are a
little slow. From the same yard, I bought
my first wrangler project...an 89 Sahara
with no drivetrain. That quickly was sold
to make way for the steal of the century,
my 92 YJ on cinderblocks for $250! Some
wheels and a new CPS, and I was on the
road. Tons of blood, sweat, money, and
time went into the old girl, and I really
kind of regret selling her, but now I have
my newest project, my 97 TJ with the 2.5
and 5spd....evidently with a blown (or at
least on its way out) motor. I smell a
conversion coming on!
