JEEP HISTORY
Owned my first Jeep at age 14. It was a
'51 Willys Wagon, 2 wheel drive with
ambulance doors. Loved it and caught the
Jeep bug. I've owned a '66 CJ-5 (real
beater), a '78 Wagoneer, and presently
have another '66 CJ-5 (less of a
beater). My CJ5 has been through it,
mostly from the previous owners, and I've
kept her running. The V8 was dropped in
before I bought it. It's pretty stock,
but has few upgrades. My latest is a 1982
CJ7. It's very stock, but that's how I
wanted it. Plans are to make a few
upgrades, but keep it close to stock and
travel Colorado in it. Got tired of the
258 lack of power and did 5.3 V8/NV4500
conversion.
