This is my second Jeep. My first was a
1994 YJ, which was a DD and completely
unmodified, except for some nerf bars. I
traded it years ago for a pick-up. I
bought this Jeep in July, 2008. My
neighbor had just bought a 2000 TJ, and
after I rode in it once, I had to have one
of my own. My only requirements were that
it had to have the 4.0L motor, a 5 speed,
and a/c. I wish now that I had held out
for a Rubicon w/ the Dana 44 axles, but
this Jeep was so clean, and the price was
so good, I bought it. This is the first
Jeep that I have lifted and modified. It
is not a DD. My wife and I basically run
around in it on our weekends and days off.
In fact, I can't keep my wife out of it;
she loves it. We are not big off-roaders
or rock climbers. We run around w/ the
top off, go camping and hiking, and I use
it to go deer hunting. Our next Jeep
project will be to swap the 3.07 gears for
4.10s or 4.56s; haven't made up my mind
yet. Oh yeah - I also own a 2007 FJ
Cruiser, a 2002 Camaro Z28, a CBR 954RR
and a boat (my other money pits).
