This is a 1964 Jeep M-677 which is a
military four door version of the Forward
control FC-170. There were roughly 300
M-677's built as a test for the miltary
only. Most of the military trucks had the
Cerlist 2 cycle 3 cylinder diesel engine.
My 677 has the original running Cerlist.
It is one of two currently running with
their original (not rebuilt) engine. It
has just over 11,000 miles. I purchesed
it in 2004 and started the restoration.
It had been a Civil defense truck in KY
and was painted white inside and out. It
had minimal rust so was one of the easiest
resto so far. A year and four days from
the day I brought it home it was back in
it's USMC green paint.
