I have the 84 CJ7 and a 91 XJ Cherokee.
Both have Dana 44 rear axles.
I now
have a Dana 44 front axle on the CJ. The
CJ is a spring over conversion with about
7" of lift. The CJ has the usual
Chevy flat top knuckle high steering setup
with home built tie rod and drag link. I
have a 4.0 head on my 258 and an HEI
distributor. CJ has a chevy s-10 blazer
brake booster and 300ZX calipers with Geo
tracker disks for the back brakes. Twin
stick Dana 300 with LowMax 4:1 clocked
horizontal.
The XJ has a front waggy
D44 with warn lockouts. Adjustable upper
control arms. Removed the rear anti sway
bar. The XJ has a '95 ZJ brake booster.
Now I can stop both Jeeps with their big
tires. Alloy USA rear axles and 5 on
5.5" wheel pattern.
