JEEP HISTORY
Well I have always wanted an AMC Jeep and
after 4 months of Searching I found her.
This is my first Jeep, but I did own and
restore a 1969 AMC Javelin SST. I
can't really say how much I have put into
"Jennie" I spent $5000 on her to
get her home, and now have upgraded the
Suspension. It had a 1.5" Shackle
lift, I upped that to 2" Greaseable
shackles just to stop the rubbing. I plan
on doing the wrangler spring swap this
summer. I put in a Motorcraft Carb, HEI
Distributor, the Contour Electric Fan with
the Flex-A-Lite Variable controller. New
Shocks, and some gauges, New Valve cover
gasket, drilling and tapping for the
aluminum cover this summer too. I also
have front and rear bumpers made by The
Dirtworx, he makes some killer bumpers and
they are worth every penny. Lastly I
pulled everything from the tub and
herculined it. Lots of plans just gotta
wait on the $$ and the wife's
approval..lol Well the weekend of the
18th of Sept 09, I swapped out the worn
springs and put in a set of Superlift
Superride 2.5 inch springs with a set of
Currie RockCrawler Grease-able shackles.
That gives me a about 3 inches of life and
a hella lot better ride. I also put on
the Dirtworx front bumper and now it
matches the back one.

We usually go to Port Aransas, but the pic of the three Jeeps together was on North Padre. We only went 30 of the 60 miles down. Learned a valuable leson that day...keep the doors on when you're wheelin' down the beach!!! hehe We are looking for opportunities to take her on the rocks next!!! Hopefully soon!!! :-)

is the website. Sorry it took so long to respond, I never remember to check the messages.

CT Jeeping....not so good. It's illegal unless it's on private property and many land owners don't like letting people go on their properties. In most cases you have to belong to some Jeeping Group to get onto property and most of it is in Mass not CT.

Still have family in VT? Lots of places to trail ride if your not afraid of a scratch or two. What about Topeka? I was stationed in Ft. Riley for 3yrs. but didnt go jeeping then.Sorry took so long (stuck in the mud out in the woods, lol).

Oh dude she is freaking A++ hot, 12 out of 10! She's an old friend of mine and ran into her one night cruisin her Jeep in town. She pulled over to say hi, and I heard her U-joint making clanking sounds. So I ran to the store to get a new one, climbed under in the parking lot and changed it. Told her we were going out to play that night and she came with. We put her in that big hole and then had her climb a cliff from the creek. She gave it hell! Instant chub! Wish she wasn't married. Hubby was out of town hunting in MI.

Yes, something about CJ's that made me keep mine since new. Most fun to drive vehicle on the planet....period!

That's not my dog in the seat but rather an advertisement photo from AMC Jeep back in 1984. I still have that pull out poster in my office and I think it came from LIFE magazine back in the day. I do have a 12 year old Golden Retriever though, she's a great dog and hope she will be around a longtime yet.

haha thanks! I used to be obsessed with the peace frogs stuff and I recently got a catalogue and mentioned it before christmas and it appeared under the tree as well as the peace frogs a wind banner. Peace Frogs have a few different things for Jeeps!

Yup it has a mouth too (check the bumper). Its similar to the "Cars" movie characters. Yea I have tons of Jeep and Offroading photos, just not really on here.
