JEEP HISTORY
My first Jeep was a yellow 1982 Scrambler
with a 304 3spd. I bought it at the ripe
old age of 16(Same age as the Jeep). The
CJ-8 served me well the entire time I
drove her but then (regretfully now) I
sold her when I joined the military. Got
stationed in Italy for about 3 years where
I purchased a Yellow 2002 Sport. Drove
that throughout my tour in Italy and back
in the states until the boss told me we
wanted to have a larger family and the
Jeep wasn't a good family car. Traded the
Sport in on an Explorer that has been a
4x2 since the day we got it. Its kind of a
running joke between the boss and me but
we've had it in the shop 7 times now and
still no 4x4 high/low. Long story short,
when I traded the Sport in on the explorer
I inherited the boss's Jetta that I
promptly traded in on an ... 05 Rubicon.
Now we have a family car and my Jeep that
will also haul both kids and us(cramped,
shoulda held out for an LJ). Ended up
trading it in for a Dodge Ram 3500 Megacab
when we had our 3rd moocher. That has
since been sold and I then purchased a 99
XJ. About 5 months later the boss
suggested that I start looking for another
Wrangler since that is what I really
wanted. Took about 2 days to sell the XJ
and a month later to find my new 06
Wrangler Sport. Time to start modding
again!
