JEEP HISTORY
My parents owned Jeeps for most of my
life. Since I was 2 they have had only
Libertys. I saw our first Jeep, and from
that point on, I wanted a Jeep. I had my
heart set on a CJ7, I couldnt and wouldnt
drive anything else as my first car. I am
a HUGE Jeep fan. Well, my 16th birthday
rolled around and I had been saving for
about 2 or 3 years, my parents only had
one small box for me. Earlier she had told
me it was $1000. I had to open the box
first. I opened it and my very own set of
Jeep keys were in there. I had about a
minute or two of just a blank look on my
face then we all ran outside. Sure enough,
what was there? A 1985 white, Jeep CJ7,
spice top and doors, four on the floor and
ready for my restoration and everything id
put it through. I had test driven it about
half a year before my birthday and my
parents knew I had to have it. They bought
it three days later and the seller, ALL my
friends, neighbors, family, and many
others knew she was getting my a Jeep and
no one said a word, I had no clue
whatsoever. Currently, I am 16 and in the
process of restoring it and doing what I
call, behind the scenes upgrades like full
disc brake conversion, 2.5in suspension
lift, 1in spacers, a nice sound system,
KCs, and much more. I want to stick with a
mostly stock look though. Anyone reading
this, if you have any leads on parts, or
original papers, or anything to do with
restoring it, PM me. And yes, I do most of
the work myself. I cant stand it being in
the hands of someone else that I dont know
plus, there is a certain pride you get.
