| Cvong-xj 03/07/2010 6:34 PM Oh, and although I had made it
just in case, I didn't need the
t-case drop. I have MILD (usually
don't notice them) vibrations at
45-46 mph, and that's it. |
|
| | Cvong-xj 03/07/2010 6:30 PM Hey! Sorry it took me so long to
respond, I didn't know you posted,
haha.
Anyway, you will not have to
modify anything if you do the 3"
lift. I didn't touch the steering
or brake lines, and I have not had
a single issue. You also will not
need to modify the track bar. The
front axle was shifted about an
inch to the drivers side, but once
I installed the adjustable track
bar, that problem was solved.
Also, with the stock rims and 31s,
you will rub the LCAs, but only at
full turn (which I rarely run
into, except on tight trails or in
tight parking lots). My jeep is
also my daily commuter to college,
and I removed my rear sway bar,
but got some disco's for the
front. It works out pretty
well.
As far as power goes with stock
gears, the difference is barely
noticeable. You will know you are
on bigger tires, but you won't
have an issue with power. She will
still get up and go when she needs
to :) |

| | XJcrazy00 12/28/2009 12:51 AM yo dude whats up? I havent been on
the forums in a while lol. I
restored my iPhone to its factory
settings today and lost all
contacts or I woulda texted you.
anyhow I still havent gotten
around to putting that exhaust in,
but I can't wait to finally get it
in! |
|
| | Disco 11/02/2009 8:57 PM oh my god dude. so my friend just
got this commander and we finally
went offroading a few weeks back.
first time out was a blast, we
found some trails in ellington and
a huge mud field at the end of one
(where we later found out it was
manure lol) but anyway, it was a
blast. how've you been?? |
|
| | 7urtle 10/17/2009 9:45 PM lol thanx. i have bad luck with
red vehicles but siceits a jeep it
will last |
|
| | XJcrazy00 09/13/2009 10:22 PM Sweet deal Josh, I'm Matt. Are you
planning on going to the great
american jeep rally in two weeks? |
|
| | XJcrazy00 09/13/2009 7:35 PM yah that sounds like a plan dude.
I know a guy who is in the air
national guard, i think hes in
granby?
but anyway, if you want to hit me
up anytime, message me here and
ill try to get better at answering
lol. I'm terrible at commenting
back though, so if you want to
text me at 8608390835 ill answer
pretty quickly. |
|
| | XJcrazy00 09/13/2009 2:25 PM I get bored living here a lot haha
but I still enjoy it. It sucks
that eastern is a dry campus and
they look down on drinking, but I
still get away with it. Thats the
only thing I don't really like
about it.
And im definitely a fan of gettin
the ladies on the trail with me.
If I had my XJ up here at school
I'd be down to go whenever, but
I'm not allowed it here because
I'm a freshmen.
|
|
| | XJcrazy00 09/06/2009 11:21 AM Haha yeah dude I'm not a fan of
civics.
We should get together and chill
sometime dude. I don't know a lot
of people here at Eastern yet, but
if you do I'm sure we could find
some******to do around here. |
|
| | Disco 08/03/2009 10:24 PM hey man what's up!?
how's your summer going? i know,
ive yet to stop in DD yet lol,
haven't been able to even drive
the jeep lately so its just
sitting in my driveway begging
me...
anyway, you end up finding any
spot to offroad? or i think u said
u wanted to herculine some stuff
too? |
|
| | TeemBeam2 05/12/2009 8:02 PM I go to school up at Eastern
Connecticut State University. So
i'm all over Central and Eastern
CT all the time. Where do you
usually go wheeling? I'll go
anywhere but i'm usually hitting
it down by the shoreline.
Madison, Clinton, Killingworth,
Deep River, Essex.
|
|
| | TeemBeam2 05/12/2009 6:22 PM Hahaha
You are my first Jeep space
friend. I don't know how this
works, but consider me willing to
rescue you anytime. If you are
willing to return the favor. |
|
| | Disco 05/01/2009 10:56 AM haha that's awesome man, yeah I'll
definitely be stopping in
then...can't have enough donuts!
hope that lift works out too, get
it done for the winter and you'll
be able to do some damage. what
are you going with, something like
a 3" or huge? i was thinking last
year about saving up for one but
am also nowhere near it lol. |
|
| | Disco 04/30/2009 11:18 PM yeah definitely that'd be cool
man. I'm sure someone would let us
go somewhere or we could find
something to caravan down. and
yeah I've been in that dunkin'
donuts a few times before lol I
think I actually remember a guy in
a wheel chair when I was in there
last summer...that's pretty cool
I'll have to stop in more often
'cuz I'm driving through pretty
much every week. |
|
| | Disco 04/29/2009 1:33 PM Yeah I hear that, I'm at
Manchester Community College right
now but transferring after next
year. About 2 weeks left for us,
can't wait. Yeah Ellington's
pretty close to Coventry I think,
I actually drive through there
pretty often on Route 6 to get to
my girlfriend's house. By the way,
if you ever do drive Route 6 oh my
god man check out this lifted XJ
on the side of the road with a
yellow paint job and some black
flames and no doors for sale...I
stare at it every time lol wishing
I had the money. But yeah I was
just gonna ask you that, about
wheeling in Connecticut. As far as
I've heard I haven't seen any
legal and legit places to take
these things, which sucks. I know
they have some rallies towards the
end of the summer but haven't gone
to one yet. |
