I have owned my Jeep CJ-7 for over 6 years
now, and even before owning my first Jeep
I drooled over Jeeps, mostly just CJ's and
Wranglers. I bought it for $4000 in
complete stock form when I was 16, and
began the long process of trouble
shooting, and rebuilding. It had a
multitude of issues as all CJ's do. 6
years later I'm sitting on 32x11.5x15
MTR's, Aussie locked in the rear, Yukon
shafts, Warn hubs, Mile Marker winch,
Smittybilt SRC front bumper, homefab rear
solid square tube bumper/tire carrier, 4
inches of custom OME lift using 2.5 inch
Wrangler springs, and Bilstein 5150 shocks
all the way around. I retained the
original 258 and built it for maximum
power without going to 4.0 components, or
upping the compression. Tough as nails
motor, just needs a little work with the
carburator. Overly, I'm really pleased
with it, but there's always much more that
needs to be done to it!
